1.6 FFA Code of Ethics
An “FFA Basics” lesson (FFA.OH.1.6) on the FFA Code of Ethics. Through an interest approach comparing classroom rules to the Code of Ethics and an illustration activity covering the 12 codes of conduct, students explore the differences among rules, ethics, and conduct and the purpose of the FFA Code of Ethics. A fill-in-the-blank assessment with answer key is included.

- 1. Determine the differences between rules, ethics and conduct. a. Rules govern conduct, action, procedure, arrangement, etc. b. Ethics are a system of moral principals, rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular group. c. Conduct is defined as personal behavior, a way of acting. 2. The purpose of the Code of Ethics is “to be a credit to.”
