Activity 13: Gaining a Global Perspective
This is a student activity packet (“Activity 13: Gaining a Global Perspective”) in which students assume the role of an assigned country and participate in a simulated global summit to debate the essential question of which country should direct the future of the global agriculture industry. Students research and present their country’s stance on plants, animals, food, and the environment, ask and answer questions of other countries, and reflect on the experience. The packet includes a planning diagram, a note-taking sheet for other countries, a country profile sheet, a reflection page, and a grading rubric.
