Advocacy: Addressing Misconceptions
This is a 20-minute quick lesson plan from the National FFA Organization that uses the American Farm Bureau Federation’s “Addressing Misconceptions” interactive webpage and an accompanying student worksheet to help students explore common misconceptions about agriculture. Students investigate facts about the relationships between agriculture and the environment, food/fiber/energy, animals, lifestyle, technology, and the economy to build basic agricultural literacy. It works well as a bell ringer or introduction to an agriculture course.
