Advocacy: Food Trends and Connecting Customers
A quick FFA lesson plan in which students read the C Magazine article “7 Food Trends to Watch” and complete an accompanying worksheet exploring seven current food trends (such as super snacking, changing protein sources, the millennial mindset, and transparency). The lesson teaches the importance of consumer trends, the reasons behind them, and how to use that knowledge to advocate for agriculture, with extension activities for advanced students to conduct their own consumer/food trend research.
