Appendix 12: Create Your Own Ecozone

This is a student project handout and rubric (“Appendix 12: Create Your Own Ecozone”) in which students design their own ecozone to benefit an area near their school. Students choose a project format (3-D model with poster display, or 3-D model with interactive presentation) and develop required details such as name, location, size, purpose, components, resources, and benefits, referencing a Darling Ingredients video for guidance. A 100-point rubric evaluates content, educational display, the three-dimensional model, and works cited.
