Being Shady

“Being Shady” is a hands-on station activity in which students learn about the benefits of shade for humans, equipment, plants, and animals. After learning about how shade provides protection, visitors work in pairs to build a shade model using provided materials and then test it in direct sunlight to see whether their structure provides shade.
