Cangrejo de Río Azul (Spanish)
This is a quick lesson plan built around the video “Lilly Richello – SAE – Blue Lobster,” in which a student shares her supervised agricultural experience (SAE) raising blue crayfish/lobsters in a lab. Students watch the video and complete a worksheet about Lilly’s SAE, then research in groups how a blue crayfish, brown crayfish, purple carrots, or purple/yellow cauliflower get their color and how they are grown/raised, creating a poster and participating in a gallery walk. The lesson connects aquaculture SAE work with botanical science and communication skills.
