Emily Seifert – Agricultural Communications SAE Lesson Plan

A 30-minute FFA lesson plan in which students watch a video about an FFA member’s agricultural communications SAE, then complete a “Using Your Voice” worksheet and write an advocacy blog entry. The lesson teaches students to inventory resources for developing an SAE program, plan SAE opportunities, and understand the importance of advocating for agriculture. It includes student activity sheets and a grading rubric.

Agriculture Communications SAE

Emily Seifert, a sophomore from the Corvallis FFA chapter in Montana, shares her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) focused on writing blog posts for an agriculture website. She aims to raise awareness about agriculture while developing skills in time management, teamwork, and writing. Despite challenges with a diverse team, Emily values the support she receives and encourages students to select SAEs that reflect their true interests.
