This quick lesson plan, built around the SAE video “Giancarlo Lomanto – SAE – Pallet Planter,” teaches students about supervised agricultural experience (SAE) programs through the example of repurposing old pallets into planters. Pallet Planter SAE

Giancarlo Lomanto, a 10th grader, repurposes pallets into planters, facing challenges in sourcing materials and tool usage. He gains valuable skills and enjoys the building process with support from his mom and teacher. His project evolves into custom planters, and he reflects positively on the experience, contemplating a future in carpentry.
