HS.48 The Role of Mentors

This LifeKnowledge lesson (HS.48 “The Role of Mentors”) teaches high school students what a mentor is, how to select an appropriate mentor, and how to communicate with one. Through activities, transparencies, and a letter-writing exercise, students define mentor and protege, identify desirable mentor qualities, and learn how to ask someone to serve as their mentor. It includes interest approaches, activity sheets, a written test, and a “Hot or Not” authentic assessment.
