Jared Mudd – SAE – Ranch Foreman

“Trees Everywhere” is a three-part student worksheet about trees, orchard management, and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE). Students watch a video about Jared Mudd’s ranch foreman/orchard SAE and answer reflection questions (Part 1), complete a trivia quiz about the benefits of trees (Part 2), and learn to plant containerized trees by creating a labeled flow chart and exploring Arbor Day (Part 3).

Ranch Foreman, Orchard SAE

Jared Mudd, a senior at Willows High School and member of the Willows FFA chapter, manages R and M Farms as ranch foreman. He learns tree cultivation while balancing work and school. Overcoming initial challenges, he gains skills in irrigation and pest management. His SAE project has grown significantly, and he aspires to establish an orchard on his family ranch, guided by a mentor and classroom knowledge.
