Dairy Farm SAE

Jared Poldervaart, a junior from Hamilton City, California, shares his journey in a supervised agricultural experience on his family farm. He manages 270 acres and 850 dairy cows while learning about dairy science and genomic testing. Despite challenges in time management, he gains valuable skills in herd genetics and sample processing. Jared encourages students to stay committed to their SAE projects and consider new opportunities.
