Lesson 2: Hunger in the United States

This is Lesson 2 of 6 in a National FFA Organization unit on hunger and food insecurity, focused on hunger in the United States. Through a video analysis, graphing, a food-access maze activity, a USDA food desert map activity, and a “Can You Make It 30 Days?” budgeting game, students explore food insecurity, its health and economic impacts, and food access challenges in the U.S. The resource includes a teacher lesson plan, student activity worksheets, a teacher master sheet, and answer keys.
