Lesson 4: The Respect Campaign

“The Respect Campaign” (TCTL.4.4) is a 60-minute lesson from the Today’s Challenges; Today’s Leaders: Real World Conversations for the Classroom series that helps students understand the value of respect. Students explore self-respect and respect for others through discussion of political campaigns, then create campaign posters illustrating the qualities of respect using a provided rubric.

  • Large poster paper – one per student or computer access for each student
  • TCTL.4.4.AS.A – one per student
  • Creative supplies (markers, colored pencils, glue, etc.) not needed if you use computers
