Lesson 5: A Helping Hand

“A Helping Hand” (Lesson 5 of 6) is a National FFA leadership and community-service lesson that introduces students to philanthropy and its role in addressing food insecurity and hunger in the United States. Through worksheets, videos, and online research, students explore public, private, and civic responsibility, examine organizations like Feeding America, and identify careers connected to fighting hunger. The lesson includes student activity sheets and answer keys.
