Lesson Plan 1 – Food Contamination

This National FFA lesson plan (Unit 2: Lesson 1 of 2) teaches students to recognize the three main sources of food contamination—chemical, physical, and biological hazards—and to distinguish between food safety and food quality concerns. Through a bellringer, PowerPoint, drawing activity, and customer complaint letter analysis, it also prepares students for the “Customer Inquiry” portion of the National FFA Food Science and Technology Career Development Event.
