Lesson Plan 1 – Introduction
This is the first of two lessons in Unit 1 from the National FFA Organization that introduces students to the food science industry and the National FFA Food Science and Technology Career Development Event (CDE). Through a donut-based bell ringer, career research activity, and CDE component exploration, students learn what food science is, identify careers in the field, and explore the components of the food science CDE. The resource includes student worksheets, review game cards, exit tickets, an answer key, and a grading rubric.
