Lesson Plan 1 – Public Speaking Basics

This National FFA lesson plan introduces students to the basics of public speaking, including what it is, why it is an important skill, and the six different types of speeches (informative, persuasive, entertaining, demonstration, impromptu, and motivational). Through a video, slides, worksheets, and matching activities, students learn to identify and explain examples of each speech type. The resource includes student activity sheets and answer keys.
