MS.20 Understanding Common Etiquette (PowerPoint)
This LifeKnowledge Middle School lesson (MS.20, “Understanding Common Etiquette”) teaches students commonly accepted rules of etiquette, proper etiquette in social and dining settings, and how to set and use informal and formal place settings. Through a movie-clip analysis, note-taking, a storytelling activity, and a hands-on ice cream sundae meal with an M&M manners game, students practice and demonstrate good manners. The lesson includes teaching masters, a survey, a written test, and a performance assessment rubric.
