This LifeKnowledge lesson (MS.40, “Types of Communication”) teaches middle school students to define communication and identify its three categories—spoken, written, and non-verbal. Through a picture-description volunteer activity and a task-based exercise, students learn to recognize and choose appropriate types of communication for different situations.
