MS.44 Getting Your Message Understood (PowerPoint)
This LifeKnowledge middle school lesson (MS.44, “Getting Your Message Understood”) teaches students how to communicate so their audience truly understands their message. Students define “understanding,” identify four barriers to understanding (assumptions, jargon, acronyms, and incomplete information), and practice overcoming those barriers through editing and writing activities.
