Mushroom Farming SAE

Nathan Gore, a 12th grader from Chiefland High School, shares his experience in mushroom farming as part of his Supervised Agricultural Experience. He explains the process starting with cutting and preparing logs, drilling holes for mushroom mycelium, and moving them to a fruiting house. The operation has grown from 500 to 2,500 logs, and Nathan enjoys the rewarding experience of harvesting mushrooms for market.
