Nathan Laurenz – Beekeeping SAE Lesson Plan

This National FFA quick lesson plan uses a video about an FFA member’s beekeeping SAE to help students explore how supervised agricultural experience (SAE) programs can address agricultural needs. Students research bees and their importance, then design their own SAE plan to make a difference in agriculture.

Beekeeping SAE

Nathan Laurenz, an 11th grader, shares his supervised agricultural experience in beekeeping. He manages five hives and enjoys the community with fellow beekeepers. While time management is a challenge, he learns valuable skills like record keeping and money management. Nathan plans to continue beekeeping in the future and encourages others to pursue their passions and join FFA for leadership and agricultural education.
