“Cotton Chronicles” is a student worksheet/activity resource centered on cotton production. In Part 1, students watch a “Fiber & Oil Crop Production SAE” video and answer comprehension questions about a cotton farmer’s operation; in Part 2, students complete three activities from a choice board (covering Eli Whitney and the cotton gin, the Cotton Belt, parts of cotton, products made from cotton, cotton bales webquest, and the journey of cotton) and explain why cotton is a valuable U.S. crop.
