Part 1B: Who Are We Now – Three Component Model

This is an introductory agricultural education lesson plan (“Who Are We Now: Three-Component Model”) created by the National FFA Organization. Through an interest approach, image-sorting activities, and a role-playing/research activity, students learn to identify and provide examples of the three components of a school-based agricultural education program: classroom/laboratory instruction, FFA, and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).

  • Biographies – three examples of students excelling in a classroom/laboratory, in FFA and in an SAE
  • Picture Scavenger Hunt – various types of pictures of students learning in a classroom, different SAE programs and leadership opportunities through FFA

  • Official FFA Student Handbook – one copy per student
