SAE (Experiencia Agrícola Supervisada): ¿Cómo Puedes Marcar una Diferencia? (Spanish)

A quick (30-minute) FFA lesson plan in Spanish that introduces students to Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs through the example of a member’s beekeeping SAE. Students watch a video about Nathan Laurenz’s beekeeping SAE, research the importance and endangerment of bees, and design their own SAE plan to address an agricultural need. It serves as part of an SAE lesson/unit and a career-readiness lesson.

Beekeeping SAE

Nathan Laurenz, an 11th grader, shares his supervised agricultural experience in beekeeping. He manages five hives and enjoys the community with fellow beekeepers. While time management is a challenge, he learns valuable skills like record keeping and money management. Nathan plans to continue beekeeping in the future and encourages others to pursue their passions and join FFA for leadership and agricultural education.
