SAE (Experiencia Agrícola Supervisada): Se Necesita un Pueblo (Spanish)

Quick lesson plan titled “SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience): It Takes a Village,” created by the National FFA Organization. Students watch a video about an FFA member’s horse-showing SAE and complete a worksheet, then create an inventory of the resources and personal connections that could help them start a successful SAE project. It serves as part of an SAE unit and as a career-readiness lesson.

Horse Showing SAE

Abbey Rinker, a 10th grader from Virginia, shares her experience with an equine SAE project. She discusses her daily routine of grooming, riding, and training her horse, with support from her family. Abby talks about the challenges of training a new horse and the need for consistency and patience. She dreams of showing horses in college and pursuing a career as a farrier or mounted police officer, encouraging others to seek support and persist in their projects.
