#SpeakAg Dialogues | Why is milk consumption lower today than in year’s past?

This installment of the National FFA Organization’s #SpeakAg Dialogues examines why milk consumption has declined in the United States, presenting perspectives from a USDA Foreign Agricultural Service representative, a dairy farmer, a registered dietitian, and a Dairy Management Inc. marketing executive. Topics include the role of international trade and exports, rising production costs versus falling farmer pay, the growth of plant-based milk alternatives, and shifting consumer habits around breakfast, meal patterns, demographics, and beverage choice. The video aims to help FFA members understand the dairy industry from multiple angles and advocate more effectively for agriculture.
