Student Activity Sheet – Agriscience Fair Lesson 4 – Constructing Your Hypothesis
A two-part student worksheet activity centered on the scientific method and hypothesis writing. In “To Chew or Not to Chew,” students conduct a bubble gum lab, recording title, purpose, hypothesis, materials, methods, data, results, and conclusion. In “What Is a Hypothesis?” students watch a video on formulating strong hypotheses, take fill-in-the-blank notes, identify types of hypothesis phrasing, and draft and refine a hypothesis for their own research study.
