Student Activity Sheets – Improving Lives – Part 1
This is a set of student worksheets exploring how agriculture improves lives through food, fiber, and natural resources, with a focus on food security and diet quality. Students investigate the food environment components (diversity, adequacy, safety) using resources from the Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition, USDA MyPlate, a teen health guide, and FoodSafety.gov, recording responses to critical-thinking and research prompts. Activities address global food challenges, building healthy lifestyles, balanced diets, and the four steps to food safety.
