Student Activity Sheets – Lesson 6: The Challenge
This resource is a student challenge project and assessment focused on global food security and hunger. Students read a challenge letter from the National Turkey Federation, annotate key information, then research and develop a group PowerPoint presentation proposing a solution to feeding a growing world population with a safe, affordable, nutritious and sustainable food supply. It includes a presentation rubric and a 25-question Food Insecurity Evaluation covering topics such as food insecurity, food deserts, GMOs, nutrition, agronomic commodities and philanthropy.

- Presentation Requirements
- 5- to 10-minute PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 10 slides; other multimedia allowed; balanced participation from each group member; a minimum of 5 references in APA format.
