The Value Chain

FFA Blue 365: Lesson 9, “The Value Chain,” is an agricultural education lesson that introduces students to the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) Value Chain, its key stakeholders, and opportunities for sustainability and innovation. Through videos, websites, and a series of student worksheets, students examine consumer roles in the market, value-added concepts, and the seven sectors of the value chain, then design their own innovative solution to a challenge in the chain. It works well as an introduction to critical issues, innovations, technology, or agribusiness systems in agriculture.
