Tiffany Heishman – Goats SAE (Lesson Plan)

“SAEs: Check It Out!” is a quick FFA lesson plan that introduces students to supervised agricultural experience (SAE) projects through a video about Tiffany Heishman’s goat SAE. Students complete a worksheet while watching, inventory their own resources and connections that could lead to an SAE, and optionally develop a planning timeline for an SAE project.

Goats SAE

Tiffany Heishman, a 10th grader from Strassburg High School, shares her Supervised Agricultural Experience project focused on breeding goats. She takes care of the goats by providing resources like clipping and vaccinations. Tiffany enjoys selling the goats to children for fairs and highlights the skills she gains, such as responsibility and time management. She encourages other students to participate in SAE projects for personal growth.
