Blake Kirchhoff | 2020 American Star in Agribusiness

Blake Kirchhoff of the Superior FFA chapter in Nebraska is the 2020 American Star in Agribusiness winner for his supervised agricultural experience in forage production entrepreneurship. He built a custom hay operation that grew from small square baling into big round baling, swathing, and hay marketing, expanding from about 50 acres in his first year to 1,300–1,400 acres. He credits his SAE with teaching him money management, people management, and customer relations, and highlights the lasting networks of suppliers, customers, and parts people he developed along the way.
