Chase Krug | 2021 American Star in Agriscience

Chase Krug of the Linn-Mar FFA chapter in Marion, Iowa, is the 2021 American Star in Agriscience winner. His agriscience research spanned breeding peas and potatoes in high school, studying bruchid resistance in mung bean for the World Vegetable Center in Hyderabad, India, and conducting corn and soybean research at Iowa State and Purdue universities. Through FFA, he turned his interest in plants and gardening into a career in plant science.
