Joanna Hamilton | 2025 American Star in Agriscience

Joanna Hamilton of the Felicity Franklin FFA chapter in Felicity, Ohio, is the 2025 American Star in Agriscience winner. Her SAE encompassed five agriscience research projects, including studies on heat bulb output and heat lamp placement, food science experiments replacing fat sources in chocolate chip cookies, and a social systems project examining consumer perception of cookie nutrition among Ohio FFA members. Inspired by her older brother and supported by her advisor and industry professionals, she plans to become a registered nurse and is pursuing a bachelor’s of science in nursing at the University of Cincinnati.
