2.3 Insects and Pests (PowerPoint)
This is Lesson Three (“Insects and Pests”) of Unit 2: Plant Disease and Pest Management, created by the National FFA Organization. The lesson teaches students to identify common insects, pests, and mites found in floriculture plants (the 11 items classified in the floriculture CDE), evaluate their causes and effects, and discuss pest management strategies. It offers three instructional approaches—direct instruction, cooperative learning, and individualized learning—using a PowerPoint, worksheets, and research activities.
