3.2 Floral Design Concepts (PowerPoint)
This is Lesson Two (“Floral Design Concepts”) of the National FFA Organization’s Unit 3: Floral Design. Through a PowerPoint lecture, a fill-in “Design Concepts” packet, and a magazine cut-and-paste activity, students learn the principles and elements of floral design—balance, proportion, emphasis, rhythm, harmony/unity, line, form, texture, depth, and color—and how to critique and apply these concepts in floral arrangements. The lesson aligns to the floriculture CDE and includes a reflection exit ticket and an extension “Leveling Up” portfolio activity.
