Kyle Tintzman SAE – Forage and Grain Crop Production Lesson Plan

This FFA lesson plan, “SAEs: Do You Have the Skills?”, guides students to identify the skills they have developed through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program or agriculture class and to use those skills to build or update a resume with the FFA Resume Generator. Students watch an SAE video, complete the “It’s All in the Skills” worksheet using the “FFA Resume Generator Skills” handout, and discuss how their skills relate to their futures.

Forage and Grain Crop Production SAE

Kyle Tintzman, a junior in the Corvallis FFA program, manages 300 acres of barley and forage crops. Suggested by his advisor and sister, this supervised agricultural experience teaches him the value of hard work. He enjoys watching and harvesting crops but faces challenges with time-consuming irrigation. Through this project, he gains essential mechanical and agricultural skills.
