Lesson 3: Circuit Basics

This is Lesson 3 of 7 in the National FFA Organization’s Electricity Unit, titled “Circuit Basics,” designed as a supplement to the Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems CDE. It introduces students to electrical circuits, teaching them to identify circuit parts (source, path, load), distinguish open and closed circuits, and build a paper circuit using copper tape, a coin cell battery, and an LED. The lesson includes guided notes, a hands-on paper circuit activity, and assessment questions with an answer key.
